Linda's Top Ten Current Shows
- Grey's Anatomy
Here's my secret: Burke is dreamier than McDreamy. Sorry, but it's true.
- House
Hugh Laurie rocks as Dr. House, but the whole cast is amazing. Neat factoid, the hospital it's supposed to talk place in is our local hospital.
- Lost
Amazing cast, mind blowing scripts.
- The Office (US and UK)
I loved the UK version, but the US version really is better. I know it's blasphemy to even suggest such a thing, but it's true. Outside of the main boss character (I love Steve Carrell, but he's too over the top, where as Ricky Gervais was genius as David Brent), all of the other characters are better.
- My Name is Earl
Jason Lee is the only Scientologist that doesn't skeeve me out. This show is brilliant and Jamie Priestly is a hoot!
- Big Brother
It's like crack to me. I know I shouldn't watch it, but I can't help it. Someone call for an intervention.
- Stargate
I swear I'm not a sci-fi nerd, but I really love this show. Great scripts and the cast is really quite good.
- Hell's Kitchen/Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares
Is it weird that I find Gordon Ramsey sorta hot? It is, right? He's Simon Cowell in the kitchen. Love it.
The Daily Show with John Stewart
I love satire and that's pretty much all this show is about. Picking apart everything in the news and in the media, The Daily Show points out how utterly stupid we are as a species. It also helps that I want to jump Jon Stewart.
- Scrubs
How do you not love a show that once featured the line, "What in the name of are you there, God, it's me Margaret are you talking about?" Scrubs is definitely one of the few really good sitcoms out there today.
